It’s funny who reads your posts, one cannot be careful enough 😉 – Science contacted me regarding my recent note on Jennifer Couzin-Frankel’s piece “Shaking up Science”, asking to spread the information that there will be a live web chat on that topic:
At 3pm EST Thursday, February 7, Science magazine will be running a live web chat called Are We Doing Science the Right Way?, addressing scientific misconduct, the merits of peer review, and whether the push to publish is undermining scientific discovery.
Our own Jennifer Couzin-Frankel will moderate, and our guests will be Ferric Fang of the University of Washington and Arturo Casadevall of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Both working microbiologists, Fang and Casadevall have become leading voices in the quest to restore the health of the scientific enterprise.
Sounds like interesting stuff, looking forward to the discussion. It will be broadcasted here.
